Not on my Explorer (it's ol' reliable)..but on my car, for the last two nights, the horn has mysteriously come on by itself. Both times I had to go out there and press the horn on the steering wheel to get it to stop. Tonight I got smart and disconnected the battery so it wouldn't do it at 2 a.m. This car has no alarm system, etc. and no one was out there messing with it. It has been dry (no rain) both nights. I suspect it's some sort of short, but I'm not sure.
Any insight would be appreciated...thx

i have no answer for ya and i know it's probably pissing ya off but if it wasn't you, ya'd have to admit it's kind of funny, like the phantom horn or something, lol

Yeah ahaha it was a little funny but still I was annoyed since it was me. Anyway I "fixed" it today...luckily for me that car has a separate fuse for the horn only...and so I just took the fuse out, end of problem. I know its a jackleg mechanic solution but I only have the time to work on 1 vehicle and thats my Explorer. Yes I could backprobe the wire and find the short circuit, which I would definitely do on my Ex. I guess if I ever need the horn for inspection or something I will put the fuse back in.

Horn broken! Watch for middle finger! LOL :D
