It's been a while since I last posted on this site as the X has been running great. Noticed this afternoon a relatively thick (3/8" - 1/2") hose hanging from underneath the front end of my X. It is a long hose, maybe 2 feet long and is hanging directly from behind the front axle and appears to perhaps connect on the front side of the transmission housing. Not having any problems with it driving, all gauges within normal levels, no problem at idle, all fluid levels are fine (transmission and oil) and nothing leaking from underneath. The hose is long enough that it barely hangs on the ground as I drive and it's in a spot that without a lift I can't tell exactly where it connects. The end that is hanging free has what appears to be a plastic plug in it that looks like a little disk on a stick (for lack of a better way to describe it). Anyone have any clues about what this hose could be, or if it will cause any problems to drive with it until I can get it on a rack???

Sounds like a vent hose for something. I have seen vents with a plastic "button" thing on the end. I am not sure whats in that area though.

If I am right, you should avoid water for a while, until it gets put back. Others will hopefully chime in and tell you more.
