Im looking for information on how to switch my 95 Limited from air controlled suspension over to conventional. I has the lower ball joints and a few other things repaired on my truck the other day at the dealership and they said that the rear airbag had blown out of the X and that it would just be cheaper to switch it over to conventional shocks. Which i have been thinking about doing anyways.

So the question is WTF do i do to switch it over? The dealership wants $425 to put Ford shocks on and labor. I want Blistien (that is really spelled wrong) since i had them on my Ranger and was really impressed.

I guess the question is should i try to do it my self, or have the dealership do it, or by my own shocks and have the dealership do it?

Thanks for any info you guys can give me.

Yes you can do this yourself and most do. You just pull the old air-ride shocks and put on the new ones. You also need to disable the Air-Ride Control via a (red?) switch I think in the back near where the jack sits.
