How do I find the Plug-in for my CODE Reader on my 98??

I have a code/scanner reader from Sears for my FORD but I can't find out where to plug it in to in my 98 Explorer. Can anyone help? It doesn't say in my owner's manual. Thanks so much

That ash tray lookin thing direclty under the steering wheel!

There is a small plastic cover over the diagnostic port. The cover has a cutout for your finger to pull it off. It is below the steering wheel.
