Would it work for the 4.0L ohv? Are there any larger throttle bodies that i could pick up at a junk yard that would fit with no machining, just bolt on?

what kind of modding, or machining would i have to do?

If you go through all of the hassle and expense of getting the intake, filter, TB, etc. etc. short of the turbo kit- how much HP is to be expected- realistically. Not seat of the pants- hard numbers. Does anyone know? Because I'm not yet convinced after hearing all the stories of other vehicles and how people go through all of these types of mods and gain like 2 HP. I know on some applications, changing stuff will actually drop your HP or torque. Just because I have a 4.0L and throw in a TB from a 5.0L doesn't mean my truck will be faster, because the intake is still sized the same, and the intake hose/etc. is still the same as before.

Does anyone know what can really be expected?

from what i've learned, you shouldn't do a bigger tb, it takes in enough air, any more air and you will lose a little torque, don't do the intake tube, any bigger and you'll lose low end torque, just do a cone filter, and maf housing it will allow the air hose, and tb with all the air your engine needs. then you put on a flowmaster muffler. maybe a tb spacer.

they say for the cone filter you gain 5-8 horsepower, for the maf i guesstimate another 2-3, when you put the tb spacer on you'll get a few more, i've been told at the auto parts store that when you do just the tb spacer and cone filter you should see from 15 to 32. so adding in the maf prolly a little more.

Wait

I was told by some of the site's veterans that "the best throttle body spacer is one that is left on the shelf" so i would seriously reconsider. I actually posted a thread just about a throttle body or throttle body spacer and i was steered away from both. The throttle bodys are very hard to come by, but i was told to contact a guy who ports stock ones on ebay. I'll put a link to my original thread.....
