how do i remove over head console 1995 xlt

hi i just bought i 1995 explorer xlt. does anyone know how to remove over head conlose. i dont want to break it. my sunroof dont work wanted to take it apart to fix it plus my sunroof is in the open position. if anyone can help thank you :navajo:

Pull the rubber surround trim from the forward edge of your moonroof/headliner back to expose the back "lip" that holds the overhead console up.

Then grab the frontmost part of the console by the top of the windshield and pull straight down. It is held on by 2 tension clips.

There are no screws....

what about on an 02 without a sunroof? is it the same w/ no screws?

Completely different animal. Can't chime in on that one, as I never pulled the console out of my old '03... Sorry...
