How do I remove the A4LD transmission?

:navajo: at school they are parting out a 1995 Ford Aerostar with 4.0L and A4LD Transmission i say hey that would work on my 1992 Explorer 4x4 Eddie Bauer but i have to remove the transfer case off the trans but i dont want to remove the 2 driveshafts what to do to remove the transmission :navajo:

I could be wrong, but it seems like there are two ways to get at the transmission: 1) remove driveshafts->remove transfer case->remove transmission (transfer case and transmission can be removed together if you like) 2) Remove engine, then remove transmission, but you'll likely have to find a way to hold the transfer case, because usually the transfer case doesn't have it's own mounting to the frame.

Are you certain it's the same A4LD in the '95 and not an A4LDE (aka 4R55E)? I was always of the impression that the regular A4LD's last year of production was '94. '95 were the electronic version: 4R55E.
