I found some custom made radius arms by a seller on Ebay and wonder if they look like they would hold up better than the superlift maybe similar to skyjacker.

Those are made by Camburg. I've chated with him before. They are bad @ss! If only they had the Heim joints. He is closeing out some of their older stuff.

FYI
The 2wd and 4wwd drive radius arms are different size and are not interchangeable. I wanted some but he had 2wd listed about a month ago.

Well the second ones are listed as heim joints and the auctions say the 4wd ones are just $50 more.

Is camburg in Valencia, CA or something with a "V"?

Huntington beach, CA is where they are located. Victorville must be close. I've chatted with this guy too, he works for Dead Link Removed They make some serious equipment. Check out their Dead Link Removed . I'd like some of their gear, but man, it's $$$$$.

Hmmm, well this seller is in Victorville, CA so I guess it not Camburg directly.

I was just editing my last post when you posted. LOL

Well I guess he has them for Explorers here is his email response to my asking if he has some that work on 91-94 Explorers.

yes i do . they are 350.00 a pair

That is a serious explorer:eek:

It is pretty slick. Very obtainable though. Cut and turned TTB, Heim joint radius arms, Camburg bolt on susoension, D44 outers, and fiberglass fenders. Very nicely done. Big $$$$$$ though.

They want $3200 for the suspension, $1000 for the tranny mount, $400 for the fiberglass, and Lord only knows what they will want for the Dana 44 outers with Bear brakes. They haven't decided if they will offer the D44 outers as a kit or not.

Those look just as beefy as the Skyjacker ones, and $150 cheaper too!

dunno what he sells em for, but CoryL is a dealer for Camburg, i do believe

He sells them for $350 I guess we need to see what Cory sells them for. I understand from someone elses post on here that this guy actually works for Camburg that might be why these are a little cheaper.

I need to get more detailed pics of that camburg cut and turned TTB.

Here ya go:
Cut and Turned 4x4 I beams
picture
$350 Core required.
These beams are modified for off-road use. They are cut and turned for proper camber alignment. They will require porting for the axles to clear in use with long travel trucks. Designed to work with stock axles.

That's 350 for one side, do they sell the side with the pumpkin? It looks completely different on the side with the diff for the TTB.

That's $350 for the pair. There is a core charge of I think $200 that you get back when they receive your old TTB.

Wow well that doesn't seem to expensive, but I imagine you have to be running their radius arms and brackets.

You will need stock axle brackets for 6" of lift with your current springs. Your radius arms will work just fine. I was planning on adding Heim joints to my current radius arms because of the added flex.

I've got their heimed radius arms on my explorer. They work pretty good. I'm running air bumpstops that use the upper plate as the contact point and bent them. Also I've managed to bend the frame mounting brackets inward. The could easily be avoidable by just welding a tube across in between them. I beat the crap outta mine. I can link video of me jumping it and crap like that so they've been abused. Plus I think the brackets bending were caused from a off road accident I had falling asleep at the wheel. Opps, don't recomend that. There's pictures of my setup on the webpage in my profile. There's about 30 photos there so check out page 2 also...

Also, my beams have been cut and turned and widened and work great off the stock pivots with Eibach coils. Camburg didn't do my beams though. I had www.bajaconcepts.com do mine. They've also been plated and boxed in which can be seen in the photos.

Wow! Nice rig.

I must say that I was surprised to see a SUA in the rear. I went back and looked at the side pic of the rig and said hey he's got lift with SUA. Hmmmm!

I wish you had some pics from behind the TTB. I'd like to see the boxed beams and the radius arms and mounts.

Thanks for the compliments... It's gonna be for sale sometime this summer after I get some minor problems fixed and replace all some of the suspension parts that need fixed. It's just not what I wanted and I feel bad beating up that nice of a vehicle. I will miss the air matress space in the rear though!!!!!

I'll get some for you this weekend. I'm gonna take the work digital home for some other photos and I'll get some of it then too. Actually I'll get a bunch, my rear shocks are mounted at a WAY better angle now and I've got air bumps in the rear too now.

Yeah, those rear leafs work REALLY good!!!! I would 100% recomend them to anyone. They flex WAY better then stock and ride nice. They originally came triple wrapped at the end but I couldn't fit the third wrap cause it hit the frame to line up the bolt hole. So I pulled it off and now it's just double wrapped on the end. I had a SOA in the rear and it just didn't work out for me too well. For the type of high speed stuff I was building it for it chattered too much and just didn't give the control I wanted.

I'll try to post some photos this weekend but probably next Monday for sure.
