how do you change the transmission filter?

hi, im having major tranmission problems, i think i just need to change the transmission filter and fluid, is there a DIY here or something? thanks, also if you are interested i have a 93 ford explorer xlt 4x4 i am parting out, let me know if you need a part, i am willing to just start parting out, i think my tranny might have gone out for good..

Remove the bolts from the transmission pan, get prepared to take a bath in fluid, drop the pan, remove one bolt holding the filter, install the new filter with 2 new O rings, replace the gasket, and reinstall the pan.

you may want to think about adding a drain plug to the pan so you can eliminate the Mercon shower next time around, it is an easy addon that only takes an extra 15 minutes added to the new filter install.
