Autozone, and I imagine the other autostores, have loaner kits. Put down a deposit and you get it back when you return it.

Renting a fuel line disconnect tool would be like buying peanuts on a delta flight.

Just go buy the plastic throwaway one. Hell, some filters even come with one nowadays.
