(this could go in the "under the sun" forum, but im interested in organization IN the truck, so i put it here. mods can move it if necessary.)

so how do you guys organize your cds in your trucks? i have about 200 or so cds and i keep them in a 256 cd wallet, but i dont wanna keep them in my truck all the time (for risk of being stolen), and i dont wanna drag em out to the truck everyday, since the cd wallet is pretty big and heavy. i tried one of those "sun visor holders" for 10 of the ones i listen to the most, but thats no good cuz then i dont have room for my sunglass holder or my garage door opener.

so what do you guys do?

i wanna get an mp3 playing 10 disc cd changer, but i got other financial priorities that take precendence right now, so im stuck with 200 cds, heh. once i get the changer, ill be down to about 15-20 cds :)

used to have a hidden CD changer... 6-cd. now I have the ten CD wallet on the visors and have plenty of room with the garage door opener.
that, plus a CD book under the seat

How many of those 200 cd to you listen to, do you really go thru all of them. I used to carry about 80 but realized that there were only 15 that I normally listen to and a few others that I would listen to once a month so they just weren't worth carrying.

I have all 15 in a small CD holder that sits in the center console and just grab any other CDs that I feel like at the moment from the house.

3 huge 200cd case folders

yeah i don't learn, i've had cds stolen 2 times before...i figure what the hell!!!!!! I put them on the floor in the back stacked on top of each other....I play hell trying to get them free :) i can't imange a theif trying to get them free while my alarm is blaring!!! by that time my dad will be up with his 9mm and i'll have my keys ready to get in the X and drive after the theifs :)

I have a visor cd holder for my favorite cds. I keep my sunglasses in the center console and my garage door opener on the other visor.

I have one of the visor things as well. I have a deck that plays MP3's so 10 CD's holds about 120 CD's worth of stuff, so the visor thing is more then ample :).

I used to carry my CDs with me, but got tired of running out to the truck to grab something whenever I wanted to hear it. So now I copy every CD I buy onto my computer, as soon as I get home. Since Windows Media Player automatically rates the songs you listen to the most, I wait until the list changes enough and then burn a new CD. So, I only end up keeping about 10 disks in my truck, consisting of burned tracks and my recent purchases. It's a system that works for me, and it's a heck of a lot easier to hide a 10 disk sleeve than a whole box of music.

Mine's a bit more complex... I carry a CD wallet with 20 or so CDs, plus whats in the 10 disc changer, as well as two minidisc wallets at 24 discs a piece.

The best part is that most of the minidiscs aren't labelled, so you just have to guess at what's what :).

100GB external HD hooked to the laptop :-D

A CD? What's that? hehehe...

mini disc never made the replacement of cds that the companys thought it would....

MP3 headunit with a visor for 12 CD's... but i never even use those 12 so its pretty useless...

I just bought a 96 CD holder thingy and I put it under my rear seat. It's perfectly concealed.

2 visors and usually some CD binder pages in the passenger seatback pocket.

mine are every where in my moms car lol funny post

Remove all CD's and just get Satellite Radio.

I do however, have to organize my DVD's. I like to use the binders. I have on one that holds 30 and that is all I need for Movies in the truck at one time. Then I just rotate them with the ones at home.
