Eh? This is my main box with the two 6000's in it and my QLogic box with the 8000 in it. I think it looks pretty nice just to set in there. I dont think it would be all that wise to run the two 6k's with the 8k, do you? And how do you think that setup would sound, the box positions? I can get all 8000's or all 6000's, so thats not a problem.

i think thats a bad idea. the box for the 8000 might slide into the other woofers and hold them in place on the bottom. that cant be good for the cone, spiders, or voice coils.

dont hook all of them up to the same amp either.

your best bet would be to get another 8000 and sell the 6000s. two 8000s would sound pretty nice and hit hard.

Lee,

I understand what you're saying, makes since to me. I really wasnt planning on running the 6000's and the 8000's together, but everyone says I should, but they dont have the best of systems and arent all that smart. But I think it looks pretty neat just to show to people ;)

Here is just the two 6000's in the custom made box, it was tuned just for these subs. I dont know exactly what it is tuned at though. I'd have to ask the guy I got it from.

I wish I knew how to put a pic oon here. I would show you my setup and maybe it could give you an idea for your amps and stuff.

when they say tuned it most likely means that the box has the right amount of airspace for those specific subs...unless its a ported box, then thats a different story

Yes, that is what I meant :p

Thanks for posting that for me. I was just wanting him to see how I built the bottom box thing to mount the amps and stuff on so I didn't have to drill through the body to mount them and insurance will still pay for it if it gets stolen because it is bolted down. The only baad thing is that everyone can see the amps but double limo cures that.

looks good, your insurance company still gripes about that bolted down garbage? thtas really silly, honestly if someones gonna steal yer stuff they're gonna do it, bolted down or not all they need is a screw driver and those subs are out of there.

Maybe no one told the insurance company how heavy these boxes are? mines not bolted but I can slam on brakes and the thing won't move

95, no, you don't wanna set them up like that, not only could it slide into your other subs and mess them up, but it would do funky things with the waves.. the 3rd sub would wind up cancelling out the other 2 and you'd actually lose sound with that layout. not saying it wouldn't be louder, just saying its not as loud as if you set the 3rd sub up the same way the other 2 is..

sorry man, I tihkn you need a new box if yer gonna run that way

btw heres my setup since we're doing that hehe

I like that more than mine. I may have a new project now. :D

Yeah I figured it would mess with the waves and stuff, the one firing up at an angle with two firing at the bottom of the other. I dont want to run two different model subs anyway, I was just wanting to see what you all thought of a setup similar to that, I havent ever seen one like it before. I will post more when I get back home ;)
