I am looking to put a Gibbson cat back system on my 97 Mountaineer w/5.0 with in the next year. Is the Gibbson a good choice. I would use a Flowmaster but to my knowledge they don't make a cat back for a 5.0. I am also a little put out at Flowmaster as I have requested a catalog three different times in the past six months to no avail.

Gibson makes excellent products, so you will be happy if you go that route. If you want Flowmaster, get 2 40 series single in/single out mufflers from summit for $60ea. Then have a local muffler shop weld them in and run dual pipes with some nice chrome tips. That's what I did and it cost $250 total. Depending on how much the Gibson setup is, this may be cheaper.
