I've been taking my truck in to have this done but I don't have the time during the day and I want to learn how to do this. Anybody have any input on this? Time frame? I do have the socket for the manual hubs. What do you guys have to say? Thanks!

I hope this is in the right forum?

Um.. they're easy as hell to do... Go to www.therangerstation.com and they've got blown up diagrams of how everything pulls apart. If not, just get a Chiltons or Haynes manual fer yer truck, and it should be in there. As long as ya got the hub tool, it's simple.

Remove wheel
Remove hub
remove caliper
remove c-clip
remoce splined washer
remove 1st (outer) hub nut
remove next washer
remove next 2nd (inner) nut

Then the outer bearing will pop off, then the rotor, then to the inner one.

Just remember, the 2nd nut has a lil tab that stick off on the outside to align the washer.

I might missed a few things, but I'm running out the door

Oh, repeat to install :)

whats up? how is everything? it isnt too hard to do..... but you do have to get dirty and it will involve taking the rotor off.... there are inner and outer bearings.... also you will want to check the races and be sure to put the bearing back in the same spot.. like inner right has to go back to inner right and outer and so on.... it will also require a good grease... i used marine grease for bearings....it was blue and said it could be used for 4wd hubs.... it has worked so far.......since you have the front apart now may also be a good time to get the front rotors resurfaced or replaced and if you do that youll also need new grease seals.....

It is pretty self explantory when you take everything off just make sure it goes back in the same order I messed up once not doing that

Now would be a good time to check those caliper slide pins too.:)

Thanks for the input people!

Duh, didn't even think of checking my Chiltons! Doh!

Thanks again.!
