Hi,

I have a noisy lifter (like alot of other people on the list here) how can I tell which one it is? Also how hard is it to fix? Do you just replace one? or them all? or what? Has anyone done this, how long does it take? My father owns a transmission shop so i have full access to just about any tool required.

In order to replace the lifters the cylinder heads will have to be removed. You should replace them all, not just one. Before you replace the lifters I'd make sure that the oil pressure is within spec's. Have you priced the lifters yet. You will definately be suprised at the price. Because the lifters is a Hydraulic roller design the price is quite expensive.

I'm pretty sure I have the same problem, although I only hear it when the engine is cold. I don't suppose there's a simple remedy like Slick 50 or other oil additive?

Thanks,
-Brad
