how high does your gas gauge go?

just curious if mines the only explorer that goes up that high....i wonder if it goes that far below E, hmmm

Mine just goes a little bit above F, not near as far as yours does. It usually stays there for a long time, up to 100 miles worth. How far it goes up has something to do with the amount of ohms in the sensor and whatnot, its kinda complicated...

Mine goes over a ways too. It's kinda weird too look at when you first fill, but but I just got used to it. I also don't think mine goes over that far, but defidantly a ways over.

Mine goes twice as far below E as it does above F. I dont use the E as empty anymore, but I wait until its noticably under E before thinking about filling it up

copy and paste them into the browser. You might have to delete spaces off the end. It's a common problem. It's written in a couple of threds

I've went about a needles with below E. And filled up 19.99 Gal er something.

Running on empty

My 92 I could drive a while on empty. I ran the 97 out of gas in my driveway that angles down. That is when I found that 4 gallons of gas only gets it to 3/8 on the gauge. I've heard many people running out of gas when the car is tipped down with this era tank.

On my 96, the gauge also reads lower when the front of the truck is angled lower than the back, a vice versa when its facing up.
