slick , sorry for the late response but i have been gone for an week so you gotta excuse me for that.

Caps are good, BUT they will only help so much , i have found out thru expierence in different setups that BAT-CAPS work better or some US batteries ( 8 volt) , caps have only so much power and if the bass is very extensive it will drain them , unfortunatly the downside of an cap is that it takes more time to recharge then it will to suck it dry.

in other words it kinda depends on what type of music you listen to and the setup of the car.
