'99 XLT
Hey everyone,

Well we bought our 1999 Ford Explprer XLT about 7-8 months ago and well its time we need to change the front right tire and since this is my first time owning an SUV, I was wondering how much a tire should cost about for a 1999 Ford Explorer? I don't have any lift kit on the SUV and none of the tires are aftermarket. These are the stock size tires that I need to buy. I'm just curious how much they should run me before I take it into Sears and find me tires, etc.

Thanks! :D

Depends on what kind of tire you buy but your looking at about $100 for it. Could be a little less or a little more.

It will depend on if you have a 15'' or 16'' wheel. I would go to Wal-Mart. You can get there brand 235/75/15 all terain for around $70 a tire.

Ive got some bf goodwrench all terrain a/t's on mine. Looks really good and are versatile. Cost around 100 a tire but well worth it and comes with a good warranty

for our street ex i just go to discount tire and buy a set of passenger car tires 235/75/r15 for about $150 including tax and road hazard certificates. the tires themselves are about $25-30 each. and when the tread starts to get low i get a nail or screw and put it in the tire at the edge of the tread going into the sidewall and get a new tire for about $25 total with road hazard just for that. i know it ain't right but i do buy the tires without damaging them when i can.

since i cant afford real tires i make due with what i can.
