Jim,

Here's a way to get a rough idea as to how far your lift will take you. First, you are adding a 5.5" suspension lift, so you can figure that you'll get 5.5" out of it, give or take a half inch or so. The exact amount depends on the condition of your present springs, how truthful the lift manufacturer is, and whether it uses new springs or not.

For the amount of lift presented by the tires, you can measure yours or go to www.4lo.com to use the tire calculator on the site. It has a "metric" conversion calculator that will tell you what diameter your tires are based on what size you type in. For example, a P225/75-R-15 tire calculates to about 28". Now, just take the difference between your new larger tires and the diameter of the old ones, and then divide by two. In this case, going from the P225/75-R-15 (28") to a 33" tire will give a diameter difference of 5", resulting in a lift difference of 2.5". This too can vary, depending on the individual tire. Tires can vary a bit in diameter even though they are the same size.

Now, add the suspension lift to the lift provided by the tires to get the overall lift. If you had the same tires I used in the example, your total lift would be 5.5" plus 2.5" or 8".
