how much stress could a 1354 take?

hey, right now have the pushbutton 1354 Tcase, but was thinkin about going to a manual shift Tcase, but since im going to 44s and 1 ton axles, would the transfer case pretty much fall apart if used, or is it a pretty built case, the vehicle is a 92 explorer sport with a 4.0 , its either swap in a manual Tcase, or use a divorced Tcase, like a 205 or rockwell Tcase

Run a search on here for "danger ranger" He runs dana 60s on 42"s with a doubler and seems to be having good luck with it. Enough that he has broken dana 60 shafts. If you a sport like your title says I cant see how you will have room to put a divorce tcase in and still have a rear driveshaft on a truck high enough to clear 44"s. I would be more worried about the A4ld if you have an auto.
