How remove the speed limiter on explorer 2002

lol

yea so after driving up i-5 then back down the 101 all the way too coos bay or from the bay area here....i take that back, my ex feels light about 90 and i can only get 75 out of a 45mph corner because any little bump i can feel some serious instability. im pretty much positive lowering is my next move, too scary :|

oh and being pulled over 3 times and getting one speeding tickett is a feat in itself, but at the same time sucks! 80 in a 65 :( thats not even speeding!!!!

i think the ex handles very well around town and up to about 60-70 then the manuevering and cornering goes out the window, does aerodynamics play much of a role in this?

My mountaineer has gotten to 120, then I chickened out. The bugger got really rocky and it kind of scared the hell out of me.

I think only the us manufacuted ones have a speed limiter. My '96 has a Canandian origin sticker in the door sill and I've done 135 in it with out hitting a limiter. Yes that was a very long time ago when the truck was still stock, and like tower said it get really really light at those speeds. I started to feel like I was in a boat, so not cool that fast.

I assume being in Canadia you mean 135km/h (or approx 85 mph)? I may or may not have had our explorer up to about 145km/h while overtaking on a highway (posted speed limit of 110km/h), and it felt OK, but was definitely running out of acceleration.
