how the hell is this center console supposed to come out?

I have removed every screw/bolt I can find, The entire thing is is bits and pieces and it still will not budge out of the truck. Can someone point me in the right direction? It looks like it is supposed to slide to the rear then pull out but I cannot get it to move. Pictures would be mega helpful. I am almost at the point of just beating the **** out of it with a hammer.

I am trying to get it out because I read on this forum that there is a panel underneath to get to some of the transfer case bolts.

Seems too far forward to have access to the t/c. Have you eyeballed it to see if it's in the right spot? Seems it would be over the tranny still.

I have a Sport though...so just eyeball it and see if it is over the t/c.

well its out, it was just glued down with years of spilled soda and **** from the previous owner. The back of the console is at about the right spot for the transfer case, I don't exactly see any place i can fit a wrench, hope its under the carpet

Yea the 2nd gens are a B***H to get out, theyre held down under like clips and you really gotta yank like hell to get it out.

In my 92, I got the whole center console out in a matter of 10 minutes and 10 screws

Oh while I was poking around I found what looks like a Cat5 cable plug (female) I figured it was for an aftermarket amp that was once hooked up, but then the wire was wound in with the factory harness
