i just bought a dana 44 and im in the process of cleaning it. im at the diff right now. its full of thick, oily, mud. ive tried to just wipe it up with shop towels but its not getting me anywhere. can i get something at home depot or even dollar general? like oven cleaner maybe? please let me know. also, how would i go about cleaning it. where the pinion goes through theres like a channel. i guess to create a flow of the fluid to keep everything cool. should i just fill the diff with the fluid and let it sit or should i use like a steady stream like in a parts washer? is it safe to use any chemical? thanks for yalls help!!
