how to clean maf?

I need to clean my maf sensor. Do you remove it with a special star wrench and how should it be correctly done?

You can buy Maf sensor cleaner at any auto parts store, it will be with the brake and carb cleaners. Just remove the sensor and spray it down real good. The "star" bit is a torx bit, probably a security torx bit. If you can't remove that, you can just remove the entire housing and get at the element that way.

If using the straw with the MAF cleaner can, make sure you do not touch the wire inside the MAF sensor with it. They break pretty easily
