I just picked up a 1999 Ranger that is suppose to be FF (E-85 fuel compatable).
I'd think that this would be said somewhere by the gas cap or under hood but no... only thru vin # check saying "Engine: 3.0L V6 EFI Flex"

I just don't want to wreck the motor if it shouldn't run E-85 in it.

Thanks! ;)

All of the FFV rangers and taurus, etc. that I've seen have a little emblem on the bottom of the front fender that says FFV.

I found it... on the E-85 web site, it said that for the Ranger it is the 8th digit in the Vin. "V"

3.0 engine should be FFV...

I used to have a '99 3.0 FFV Ranger, it had an emblem on the tailgate with a road and a green leaf. I've seen Tauruses with the same emblem.

Go by the VIN, since emblems may have been removed or fallen off.

V is for FF 3.0

U is for regular gas 3.0
