I tried pressing on the fuel flap door, but the spring never releases. The fuse diagram doesn't show which fuse controls the fuel flap door and I can't figure out how to get it open.

Try pushing it with a piece of plastic at the gap, then leverage the plastic to pry open the door. Just an idea.

Welcome to the Forum.
There is no fuse for the fuel door. It is purely mechanical. All you should have to do is push on the non-hinged side and it should pop open.
Here is what the manual says; "To open the fuel filler door, press the center of the rear edge and then release."
If yours isn't opening I don't know if you can try prying it open without damaging anything. Good luck and please report back. Thanks.

That's why I suggested using plastic as opposed to something more sturdy. Absolutely don't want to break anything worse.
