How to remove old wiper linkage bushing?

My passenger side wiper bushing is old and deformed, which caused the linkage arm to detach. I am trying to replace it, but I can’t seem to get it off. Any help?

- The bushing is majorly damaged in the photo because of my failed attempts to remove it.

What did you do to get yours off? I feel like if I keep going at it the way I am I will break something else.

Do you have a heat gun or a hair dryer you can heat up the plastic and it will stretch over easier

Once again another great idea... Only problem would be powering the hair dryer, ill see how I make it work. Really solid idea though. Its super stiff and sturdy so if I can get it to stretch more my problem will disappear.

Edit: Fixed it! I had no space really, but what I did was I used some knife I had in my shed (was a long sharp blade rather than multiple ridges) to slowly but surely cut at the old bushing until piece by piece it came apart. Then when it was barely hanging on, I just used my nails to dig under it and tear it off, also by getting the knife under it and prying it off. It would have been super easy if I had one of those handheld cordless rotary cutting tools, but it got the job done. Then I just lined up the bushing and used a wrench to squeeze it on and boom. Hope this helps someone in the future.
