Ok, the glass is broken on my 04 xlt explorer's passenger fog light. I purchased a replacement which is the entire thing. Does anyone know where I can find the information needed to properly take out the broken one and install the new one? Also, how about adjustment?....don't want one pointing higher or lower than the other one. Thanks to all in advance. I searched the form for fog light but had no luck. Thanks again.

I had to put one in mine also. Drivers side. There are three self tapping screws that hold it in. Lay down under the front end, unplug the cable from it, and remove the three screws (the one towards the outside is blind, a little harder to put back in). Put the other one in. There was no adjustment I could find. The front of it sits up tight in a socket. I suppose that aims it. I have seen no difference out of mine.
Can you believe you have to buy the whole thing because the glass broke out. Seems they would have a protector on the front or something. Oh well,
another one of Fords "better ideas"

Thanks

Thanks for the info. Just by looking at the new one I had, it looked pretty simple. But I'm a bit ****. Kind of like to know what I'm getting into before I get into it and.....uh oh.

Yeah, it is really obsurd that you can't just get the glassw for it....especially being that there is a bulb inside. Mine was cracked for a good 8 months before it broke out. Never had a problem with the light working until then....of course the bulb is busted now too. And to think that they are using the glass as the protective sheild for the bulb. Oh well.

Thanks again. I will say this though....I can't believe the dealer oem price....100.00. I got mine online for 52.00 (and that is with shipping). I saved 50%. No it isn't oem, but it is designed to be the same thing and there won't be any noticable difference.....not for 50.00.
