how would i go about putting the leaf springs on top of the axle???

im lookin to find cheap ways to lift my '98, iv already done the tt and shakles and its not quite where i want it, im lookin to put the leaf springs on top of the axle but i dont know how to go about it. also if i get new torsion keys is there anything i can do to not put so much wear and tear on the cv joint???? if u guys can help me out with any ideas id greatly appreciate it

Do a search. I'm almost positive all this information can be found in the first few threads that have been sticky'd in this board.
 






i did after market torsion keys and lifted the from about 2.5in in the front and did a spring over and custom shackles cause otherwise the back will sit way higher. i have maybe a quarter inch between leaf spring and frame in the back. as far as being worried about stress either leave it stock or solid axle swap
 






I think the thread is called something like $32 soa or $32 spring over conversion.

be warned though. SOA will lift it about 6 inches, so if the front is just a TT it's gonna look a bit silly.

SOA will also increase axle wrap if you care.. so a traction bar might be a good consideration.
