I just purchased my first Explorer, a 92 4x4 with 5 speed. It will need work but for a 300$ police impound, what can I expect. I have had several ford rangers prior to this vehicle. However this is my first 4x4.

I do live in Roseburg, Oregon and work as a carpenter. I am trying to get out of that industry and work for myself working with animals. Look forwards to sharing information with you all and learning from everyone here.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Just got it home today. Got a few things I need to do to it. Needs new clutch, front driveshaft is missing. got a power steering leak. Outside of that its just minor things.

As for that "mod" It depends if it will fit my bumpers that I have. I have a custom made bumper that will go on the explorer
