Howdy folks, I have a 2000 Explorer Sport, 99k miles on her and she runs great. She's my first car and is running pretty darn well, especially with a kid like me driving it. I nearly flipped her about a month after I got her and I now have learned to respect the car.

To be honest, I know nearly nothing about cars and I would like to try and learn quite a bit. I know the basics, but very little other than that. I don't know if it's just a get your hands dirty and start messing around a good deal or if I should read up a bit on everything. Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated.

Awesome site with a load of resources and a great community, keep it up.
Thanks!

welcome to the forum and luckly u didnt flip ur x over. But do u got any pics of ur x. And u plan on doing any mods to it.

Ah, yes I do.

Here she is the day I got her.

And since I'm the intelligent type, I took pictures after I nearly flipped her. Here's the tire with grass in the rim (IMO, it was a miracle I didn't land on the side, someone was looking out for me), and then the ruts I made.

I would eventually like to change the interior a bit. As for the exterior, possibly a lift and grill guard. As for the engine, I might try and so some stuff to it, but like I said, I know very little about cars and I'm trying to learn.

nice looking sport u got there matt. And good luck with ur mods on ur x.
