1992 Explorer Eddie Bauer
Howdy. Just found this forum looking for a bit of advice on my new toy. 1992 Explorer Eddie Bauer edition, 4x4, auto, 4L V6, 109,000 that needs a headgasket some time in the future. Traded a fellow a rusted out 1994 F150 with a 300 I6 and a C6 tranny and 166K on it for it. Quite happy with what I received. Looks like a nice place here!

and thanks!

I really have enjoyed driving it the last few days. Has a lot more oomph than I expected. I've painted the back pillars black again and I've put a new water pump on it. The drivers side head gasket leaked when got it, I ran some of the aluminum stop leak through to stop the antifreeze leak. NOT A LONG TERM FIX! lol. As soon as its above 11 degrees I plan on replacing that head gasket, probably both while I am at it. It really doesn't need a hole heck of a lot. One window doesn't go down (Again, when its warm, new bushings) has some rust. Everything works perfect. Has a CD player and a sub. I really could not be happier. I want to add a brush guard of some form, but I cannot find any for sale, so I think its going to wind up being myself and the welder and some pipe coming up with something.

welcome and nice x

The 4x4 works perfectly on it. Theres really nothing but the head gasket to complain about, and thats not even leaking now. When I go to replace the head gaskets I think I will also be throwing a new power steering pump on it, I think it has a slight leak. Everything works, though!

Thanks for the welcome!
