On the 4.0L engines, it's towards the rear of the drivers side valve cover. Just pull off the short hose connecting the PCV to the intake, and yank it out of the cover gasket, then slide the new one in and reconnect the hose. Easy. Be sure to check the rubber gasket in the valve cover and also the hose too, if they're dry or cracked, get a new one before you get rubber pieces in the engine or an air leak.

I purchased a new PCV valve. I located the PCV right behind the coilpack on the drivers side. I tried to remove what I think is the PCV but it didn't want to budge. Is there a special way to remove the PCV?

Thanks!

Maybe their should be a forum just for the PCV Valve! Just kidding but I thought it was just me that noticed this is probably the simplist part thats so hard to find and replace. Starting to wonder if some sadistic engineer came up with this purposely?

Like I said, if one can locate the valve covers, than let your fingers do the walking, you will find the PCV valve, will be the biggest rubber hose on the valve cover

What engine do you have? This is where alot of the confusion as to where it is. If your referrng to what I think you are thats not it. I thought that was it too and couldnt get it to budge. It looks like the metal PCV replacement the parts stores sell, but if yours is the original its plastic, On the SOHC engines its on the passenger side behind the intake manifold. Its really simple but a pain to manuver in such a tight spot.

Take it to the dealer, the PCV valve replacement is extreamly complex:)

Thanks for the help. I was able to replace the PCV without much trouble.

Happy New Year!

Thanks,
Mike
