I believe we need to get a list of people definitely interested (wait another week or two to allow everyone to see our post and to consider if they would like to be
a part of this group) then depending on where those people are located (who are interested in attending) and find a location in the middle of all of us. If we just pick central texas at this point, and most of the people are further up north or west it will not be convient for everyone. I figure majority rules. The after we have basically establish our small northern group we can then have another meet with the southern X's of Texas.

What do you think Darkman?

I completely agree.

When I said we should pick a spot south of DFW, I ment between DFW and Waco, not central Texas. Since we already have intrest from Waco, Brenham and Bryan, I figured we could get those guys to come up if we picked something a little closer to them. But then again, the only wheelin' spot I've been to in Texas in in Amarillo!! So I don't know if there is any wheeling to be found within, say, an hour south of DFW.

It seems that most of the interest is coming from the Dallas area. Then you have Brenham, Bryan, and a few other people and some of the big dawgs from Houston and Victoria. And Doc way over in the desert(El Paso).

Barnwell is the only place I've heard of around here that might keep us entertained for a full day (from big dawgs down to 2wd stocks). But I've never been there and it's not south.

I have a Church retreat on 6/28/03 in Bridgport till around 3:00 PM.

I can't remeber if I am camping with family on 6/14 weekend or 6/21 weekend or both.

July 4th will be tough due to family again.

Pick a date that most can attend and I will see what needs to be shuffled to make it.

I'm convinced that organizing people is harder than hearding cats and chickens.

Barnwell (a.k.a Gilmer) is north of Tyler (a hour or so east of DFW).

I haven't been there, but a guy I work with is the head of the DFW Xterra club, and he goes there often.
