hypothetical question on swaps

say you had a 98 explorer with the SOHC 4 litre. Would it be possible to swap out the engine with that of a 98 mustang cobra 4.6 litre? is this mechanically possible? i did a quick search and didn't see anything relating to the 98's.

The 4.6 is too big to fit in the engine bay without extensive mods.
