I cracked a t-fitting that seals air on the crankshaft ventilation
broken-1.jpg

this is the part that connected the crankshaft vent to the intake...I am concerned that a regular t-fitting wont work as the hardened hoses are wider than the structured flexible hoses.

anyone?

its rather urgent as it stalls in every intersection...:roll::banghead:

you could probably find a fitting a at auto place it doesnt look to big if anything you could look a a hardware place i know there are some for sprinklers that might work

is that the egr system or evc system> My main problem is I dont know what the part/system is called....

What engine? On my 4.0 SOHC it looks something like that. A black plastic T on the small end of the PVC and the bigger end of the PVC is stuck into a hose.
Its all located on the passenger rear side of the engine. If that's the case, it may be a dealer item.

it IS a 4.0 SFOHC... the stealership said that I have to buy the whole hose.

so I got a couple of feet of hose from auto parts store and a t-fitting. I got the top two hoses cut apart (they have a hard plastic inner sleeve...

I got the top two attached to the intake...but the hose that goes into the block, down the FRONT of the engine, I cannot reach here at work.

I HATE to take the intake off again to do this....that would be rediculous...so I am going to wait till I get home and cut the tube with some snips and then splice a tube onto it.

what a pain.

advice...dont break this hose

can anyone tell me where the bottom hose goes to?

wait...does the other end of this lead to the DPFS (sorry, cant remember initials) on the drivers side?

that would save a bunch if I knew where bottom tube went

I'll go look at mine.

That looks like it runs behind the thermostat and under the air pump, it may be connected to the air pump.
If you can splice it, I would do that. Looks like a ***** to get to. How in the world did you break that?

when I was taking off the intake, I took the clip off one side holding the hose, but didnt do the other...so when I swung the intake over the egv dipstick,....snap, the t-fitting broke

dealers wants $60...and I would still have to find the other end of the bottom hose
