Ok when I broke my header flage completly from the header on a curb (Long story) my check engine light came on later on that day while I was driving it home. Ok now fast forward. I get the new header on and put everything back together. Nothing is leaking everything is all sealed up. I take the battery cable off and reset the thing. Drive around for about 2 days and it kicks on. (note this is a passangerside header 5.0 with external EGR :fire: )
I take it to autozone and they said its an EGR problem. On the code scanner and he reset it for me. I figured it would of been an O2 problem but I was wrong.
The CEL Came back on 2 days later. Same code. I don't remember what it was but said "piss on it" since the truck runs no different. Emissions are coming and I need to get this fixed. Not to mention I'm sick of the light.
What are some idea's on what I can do to make sure the EGR stuff is working right?. I Don't know much about troubleshooting it because on my stang its all internal and I've never had a prob with it.
I talked to CobraXP about it and he said he's replaced all of his EGR stuff twice and can't get rid of the codes he's getting.
