Well, not really ;)

Splat feels like a new rig though!

I visited Kris G. in Victoria yesterday and he helped me get a lot of work done. First, we took out my Warrior shackles, 4 door leaves, and aal and replaced them with the 6" lift Skyjacker springs that came off of Kris' green truck. The springs are old and are sagged to about 4.5", but that suits me perfectly and I don't have to worry about any more sag. I already had long enough shocks installed in the rear.

Then we cranked the torsion bars for a total of about 3" in the front. One of the bolts is cranked all the way, so for more I'd have to install the longer bolts I have. For now though it's just fine. The 1.5" between front and rear isn't that noticable because my wheelwells have the same gap due to the fiberglass fenders.

Then I installed a "new" TPS wiring harness that Kris got off a junker. My constant CEL is gone so far and the truck runs so much better. My old harness barely had a connection anymore. Hopefully my CEL stays off until there's something really wrong. I even removed the electrical tape from my instrument panel that was covering up the light :)

Then I dropped off my truck to get new 4.30 gears installed, as well as an aluminum diff cover/stud girdle. The new gears are already broken in and feel great. My posi is working really well, also. I haven't been too hard on the gears yet, but I should be able to smoke my 33"s whenever I want.

Then last night we reaimed my headlights and installed a new speedo gear. Tonight or tomorrow night I'll check out the calibration of both.

Coupled with the new HU I installed last week and some other minor mods, the truck is as good as new! Kris even balanced and rotated my tires in 15 minutes at the Discount Tire he works at. I'm very happy about the gears and the lack of CEL. On the drive back to Houston I got 22 mpg on the highway!

Still on the list to do is to add some more paint coats to the fenders and get my hood scoop installed. That's about it for now!

I'm not at home until January so can't post new pics, but the truck looks great! It is kinda hard to climb into now though

Thats great alec. I know you were excited about it when we were at the Hooters meet. I heard you say that you were going to give your aal to (sorry I forgot his name, I think its Doug). But if that doesnt go through do you think you are going to sell them. I might buy them from you.

Hey Kris, can I come over to your house???:D :D :D

yeah...what kind of condition was the add a leaf in? also, what size are your rockcrawlers? i am getting a set and don't know if i should get the 15x8 w//4.5" backspacing or 15x7 w/3.75 b/s. i currently have 31 10.5 15 atko's and will at some point be getting the 32 11.5 15's.
