I am looking for some information on my fathers 2007 Explorer that I cannot find in the owners manual. I own a 2004 and they are just a little different. Is there a way to release the tailgate other than the exterior handle above the license plate? We shut a nylon strap in the door and now it won't open manually and the Rear door/Tailgate light is on. They are driving back to TN Monday and I don't want them on the road w/ any issues. If you have any advice on this issue I would really appreciate it. I am sure I violated several forum "etiquette" protocols by jumping straight into a question, but, I am worried about Pop. Thanks for any help you can provide.
