its fast! Im talking about the new neon SRT-4
dodges site: www.dodge.com/srt-4/
best site: www.allpar.com/neon/neon-srt-4.html

think it would be a cool car, at least it would get a ton more gas mileage than the X while going a lot faster. Plus it actually has a decent setup, 215 hp, 245 torque, and its the first vehicle in a long time ive seen underrated by the factory as you can see by the second site. Too bad its a NEON :shoot: Maybe my next vehicle...........less than 20,000

It is by far the best "bang for your buck" out of all the new cars. But like you said -- it's a Neon. Get rid of the spoiler (which is std.), drop the rear end (which appears to be jacked up), and it wouldn't be too bad -- as long as you stay away from the Yellow. I'd take one, remove the spiler, and debadge it -- to surprise the hell out of people at stoplights. 1/4 mi. in 14.0 secs flat. There will also be tons of aftermarket goodies available. What's happening? 215 HP Neons & PTs, 227 HP Imprezia, 270+ HP Lancer soming out. It's getting scary & fun!!

It is exactly what we need! I will be picking up a 2004 WRX in the coming months... I'd love to get the new WRX STi with 300 hp and 300 tq, but it will be 30K+... 227 hp, 217 tq stock on the WRX, and it has AWD! You can't beat the 0-60 speed of 5.4 seconds for the price, either. As my sig says, I plan on modding it to the extreme. I can't wait to have a fun car that's new, fast, and will not break every other week!

Even those of you who hate imports with a passion have to respect these things. This is not some Civic with 160 HP that sounds like a bumblebee when you put an exhaust on it.

i still wouldnt say that i "like" the new wrx, but its a million times better looking than the current design.

im in total agreement about the new cars, too bad there will always be ricers out there making a bad name of some good imports.......... the new wrx front end is a lot better than current ones

I've always like the WRX -- even the current one. I hadn't seen the '04 model. That looks sweet. I'd like the wagon -- because I can then still fit a stroller and groceries in the back. Although the wagon isn't quite as quick because of the added weight. Has anyone driven an auto? My wifey can't drive a stick. I had a '97 Turbo AWD Talon (205 HP) in auto. It was fun, but the lag was bad in auto form. It launched nice if you did a brake stand up to about 5K RPMs though :). I miss that car...

I have heard that the auto shifts too quickly to get the turbo up to a good boost level, which is why I plan on getting a 5 speed even though I can't drive a stick yet. I am sure that the replacement ECUs would alter the shift points for an auto, but I still doubt that it could achieve the performance of a 5 speed.

I really like the WRX and the Sti is even better. What it really needs though is WRC headlight housings to complete the look.
