2002 Sport Trac
I have a 2002 sport trac that will not hold an alignment to save its ass. I'll have a shop (and I've tried several) do an alignment and within 3k miles its already starting to wear on the front inside on the tires.

For the record I am no "motor head" I am simply looking for a possible solution for my problem, before I ruin another set of tires. Every mechanic I've talked to or have had looked at it has been next to 0 help. I've been told that it is just a common thing for this year vehicle and I need to just accept it.

I hope someone out there has a sugestion for me.

Thank you.

im not a proffesional mechanic by any means, but maybe the splines on the torsion bars are chewed up. or maybe you just need to turn them. look ti up on the search bar. i can usually find good info just by doing that first. good luck, im sure someone with more knowledge will chime in.

First, verify that the ball joints are in good condition.
TSB on alignment, FYI.

This is the reason I did an SAS on my ST. I was doing the alignment B.S. every other week it seemed like, and replaced 34" tires ever year. I replaced every front end part with Moogs and still did not do $hit. Save your money do a SAS.

Has it been in an accident? Maybe the frame needs to be alligned. I had that problem. Cost me less then $300 at a chassis shop to fix.

I think he meant SASS ........ what you'll get from your wife or girlfriend when they have to have a ladder to get into your truck !:D:eek::D:D:D

Straight Axle Swap. ;)
