i need diff help

Hi im new here and dont have a elite membership and i need help. my 4x4 was not working and i read about the shift motor i rebuilt it and now i can see the driveshaft is turning and goes to the front diff but does not move past that so what can be wrong? mygears?

what would i be checking? this is my first 4x4 i got the light to work. im good in auto mechanics but im a little new to the truck world i just picked this truck up. also my next question is where can i find the back body panels.

Welcome to this forum! I agree that it sounds like it could be the hubs. Do you have auto hubs?

If the front driveshaft is turning but neither axleshaft is turning then something is broken in the front diff. But be sure that you are seeing things correctly, because the front diff is usually one of the stronger components in the front drivetrain on these. Hubs are far more common failures, but a bad hub would still allow the axleshaft to turn with the driveshaft.
