Welcome to the site. Have you tried searching the modified explorations forum for lift kit info and the tires and wheels forum for the other?
It all depends on what you are planning to do with your truck. Is it going to be going through deep gumbo mud a lot, rock climbing or driven mostly in the city. How high do you want to lift it? What size tires do you want to have?

IMO, 6 inch Skyjacker class two, that is the top of the line lift for your model explorer, you also have to do a spring over in the rear. Then you can run 33's, if you want bigger that takes fab work.

hey thanx a bunch for the great ideas. I am planning on getting a 6 inch susp. lift and 3 inch body then maybe putting 33's or 35's. i want my truck to be a rock climber.
thanx again:D

Hi, and welcome to the site. Well you live in the right part of the country to be a rock crawler, the Con is not too far from you. Hwy4 I hear has some really good places to go. I would also suggest that you invest in some armor, like rock sliders, diff case armor, and a AtlasII transfercase. Playing in the rocks is great fun, but you need to have the armor to keep your ride safe.
I think you will find everything you would ever want to know about your Explorer right here on this site.
Good luck, and let us know when you get your rig finished so we can go wheeling with you. I'm only a few hours south of you.
I just want to warn you that once you start modifying your rig, it don't stop.

yeah i live about 45 mins from the con that is my goal .
I hope to tear that up by next spring.i am in need of alot of stuff if i want to complete. my X is completely stock.
