i have no idea what you just said im not very good with cars but yes i checked it not on the hill
This is you asking this:
how much do you think an engine would be and how time consuming is it to put an engine in and how hard
right?
last time i called about a boneyard motor it was 600$. You'll have to call in your area. There's another thread on here a guy thinking about buying an OR's rebuilt for 2200, I think.
After you pick a motor, you have to transport it.
You'll need a shop crane/engine hoist. So you'll also need a nice flat surface so it'll move.
Possibly an engine stand. This also assumes you know the safety stuff and the common sense stuff, because it keeps you from swinging the motor into the radiator.
The work is mostly unhook, unbolt, disconnect. The difficult part is getting the input shaft of the tranny lined up with the splines in the clutch.
This also assumes you have
all the hand tools necessary. And a cheater bar.
unknown is how many peripherals you have to change over.
An experienced guy who knows his motors, with all the peripherals intact, can have one in and out in a day.
And then something unexpected usually pops up.
that's a short answer. Help any?
