89 Ranger is doggy on take off.Its a manuel trans and does it in every gear but not every time. Till u get speed up. Changed all intake gaskets and cleaned EGR valve no vacumn leaks any more ideas. Thanks
Your not being very specific as to the problem. You haven't even said which engine you have. The 2.9L engine does not have a lot of power at low rpm. I always tried to keep mine at 2500 rpm or above to get decent power. If you want the best gas mileage, you can run it at lower rpm but you have to live with reduced acceleration.
If you are saying it is something that is new and has less power than it use to have, it could be due to many things. Diagnosis requires a lot of detailed information.
