I need help!

I will have an 01 Explorer sitting in my driveway tomorrow night and want new shocks for it before I get the lift kit.

What shocks do you guy reccomend? I don't want to spend a ton ocnsidering I will be lifting it soon. I don't know if there's a shock out there that may give a small lift, I know stupid question but never hurts to ask. If not, I just want a real stiff shock. I mean I still want to be able to drive it but I want it to be stiff and not float the way it does.

Any suggestions on the type to buy and where to buy them is highly appreciated.

First: A shock does not give you lift.

Second: What is your price range? This will help determine recommendations.

monroe reflexes are pretty stiff but if u really want a stiffer ride, i would go with the rancho shocks. get them at kragen because they match prices lower than them and give u an additional 5 or 10 percent off. so all you have to do is find a lower price somewhere else.

Are you adding a suspension lift? If so, you should wait cause you're going to need longer shocks anyways.
