1993 Ford explorer 6 cyclinder having lots of cutting out and black smoke changed spark plugs what else can i do to make it run smooth again help please it started about a week ago when i turned it on....it stays around 750 rpm and goes down slow and right before it dies it revs up and when u are on the road if you cruise around 2000 rpm when you accelerate it revs down. please help

Black smoke like that usually indicates that it is running rich. Does the CEL come on? Even if it doesn't, I'd probably pull codes. I'd probably also check fuel pressure.
