Hey y'all, I need to buy a new trans filler tube ASAP. Mine is rusted thru and leaking onto the frame. It's had bubble surface rust for awhile now but been putting it off. Was at the car show yesterday and noticed it leaked onto the frame. I'll drop the trans pan, change the filter and fluid just to be safe as well. If anyone knows where to get a new one I'd appreciate the help. I also need to know how to remove the old one, if there's a write-up on that somewhere. Thanks in advance.

..I would contact Kbabiak on the bottom of the Forums page for a good used replacement and he cn probably tell you how to r&r it too..

..Did I mention he is also in Pa. but I use him for most everything, he's that good..;)

Thanks man.

..Just post back here and let us know if it works out for you..:D

I just posted in his thread asking about it. Thanks again. I know Steve can probably get me one but his wife is having health problems and he's been really busy at work so I don't wanna put more on his plate.

25 bucks at the dealer for our 2000 explorer. Just got one 2 weeks ago for my moms. Mine is weeping now too, so i need one as well.

Have your VIN because apparently there were different fill tubes for the same transmission.

Cool, thanks man. Didn't think they would have it or it ould be that cheap. I'm going up to Hermitage, Pa. tomorrow and will be passing up a couple Ford dealers on the way so I'll try and pick one up.

It wasn't in stock, it took 2 days to come in but it was much cheaper than expected. But i think this is basically a dealer only item.

O.k., still better than the rusted one I have on there now.

Picked one up out at Schultz Ford in Harmarville for $30 in stock. Part # F77Z-7A228-AA Tube-Oil Fil

This is for the 2003 Sport Trac so it may differ from yours.
