I need to pass emissions! LOOK!

I just found out I need to have my 95 sport tested for emissions, I have a kkm true rev induction air filter and a superchip. will these pass?? is there anything else i should know?

the kkm may not pass visual.... but will probably pass noxious fumes portion.... the chip is most likely not going to be an issue... it should do fine

I know the sniffer test is harder to pass in Maricopa County than down here in Pima County (We will be on the same test in a few years).. but according to the AZ rules on emisions (at least 2 years ago).. The only thing they check for when it comes to the visual inspection (when renewing an AZ vehicle) is the Air System. This is the air injection system.. and the Exhaust system (look for holes etc).. Turns out that they dont' even check for a working or even existing EGR system.. but the air pump on vehicles they do check for..

I doubt you will fail the visual inspection.. When I lived in Maricopa county I had a motorcycle with no Airbox.. just 1 air filter on each carb..

AZ is actually very lax as to what you can do to the vehicle.. (as long as you don't swap motors etc).. especially compared to many other states..

if AZ is lax then you should be fine... i mentioned the not passing visual as i live in the Republic State of CA...we have very strict laws and the kkm wouldnt pass.....

All you need to do to pass the visual if they mention your air filter is tell them it's a K&N, not a KKM. K&N's are legal in all 50. The easiest thing to do is just get a K&N sticker and put it on your air tube.
