So far I have found that the crank is scarred pretty bad and there's a chunk taken out of the thrust bearing. Something let loose inside this motor to cause it, but I can't find where it came from. The pistons are good, rods good, nothing in the bottom of the oil pan. Ideas?
This motor was knocking something fierce, but I can't figure out why. The heads were clean, no carbon buildup, and the cylinders were good, not even a ridge. Pretty good for 132000 miles.
